What is a dermaroller?

A derma roller is a hand held tool used for skin needling and collagen induction. The length of the needles in our advanced roller is .5mm.

This dermaroller will induce collagen and dramatically increase product penetration. It is  ideal for those who have used our derma roller starter pack and require a more advanced at home treatment. It is suitable for treating  stretch marks, fine lines, mild acne scars and pigmentation.

How often do you use a derma roller for micro needling?

Our  .25mm and .5mm dermarollers  are suitable for  use on a daily basis.

Micro needling at home is simple. First you apply a thin layer of your skincare product.  Then gently glide your roller over the area of skin you are focusing on. Scientific research has shown that 10-15 passes with your derma roller in different directions  works effectively, providing 240 micro infiltration pores per centimetre. These channels will close naturally within one hour.

Micro needling is suitable for all skin types except for use on active acne, eczema, warts, moles and skin cancers. It should be used only and exclusively by the same person. For best results, we recommend using our dr.dermacare skincare range.
We do not recommend using needles longer than .5mm unless used by a professional for medical treatments.
